Life Bah Humbug

I recently started a Patreon account and I am trying to focus on environments and it's not really going well. I mean with the time and energy I need to sit down and do it. So social media always takes a backside. Kind of frustrating that I don't have a lot of time. And I know everybody has these problems, it's just wearing on me at this point in time.

Catching up

The problem with life is that things get in the way. I have been trying to catch up on all that little stuff that is neglected during school and still work on my thesis. I have been taking most of the day to do the little things. Like today I cleaned my desktop off and posted some files on skuatmraa.deviantart.com and my own site, richardblumenstein.com. One doesn't realize that that sort of things can wind up taking hours out of the day. Though that still doesn't mean that I am not working on my thesis and other artwork. I still manage to spend at least 3 hours a day (usually at night) working on my thesis. The other day I managed to spend about 4 hours working on sketches of characters while watching a movie with my friend hcollazo2000

I will post more of my thesis when I get out of the thumbnail and sketchy stage.

I will be starting commissions for the summer. The following are prices of what I will do as well as examples of what I will do.

Character Line Art
completed in pencil or digital format 8.5 x 11

$10 dollars per additional character

$30 for Character line art and inked completed in ink on 8.5 x 11 paper or done digitally to create a solid solid black and white version, If desired I will also for this price put the line work in an alpha channel.

$50 for Comic book style coloring in 8 1/2 x 11 done digitally printed on matte or gloss paper.

$60 black and white painting in 8 1/2 x 11 done digitally printed on matte or gloss paper or a charcoal drawing on 8 1/2 x 11 paper

Semester done

Well it's semester break from the Academy of art. I had my first 2 classes; Chiaroscuro and Anthropology. I was really frustrated with the drawing class(Chiaroscuro) because I was used to getting A's pretty easily and now I have to struggle for a B. sigh oh well it is challenging and I am enjoying the drawing time

So now I have a break I figured I would update and put some of my drawings on the web.

I have been really swamped lately with life. This week the wife had to go down to Chicago and the car engine blew up. I spent the week dealing with that. A day going to get the wife, a day to go and get the car, so my creativity took a huge dump. Really tired and really frustrating. I get back and a project that I was supposed to be done with wasn't finished properly and I had to scramble to fix someone elses mistakes.
